Our Process: Transparency from Start to Finish

1. Consultation & Site Assessment

We begin with an in-depth consultation to understand your project goals, timeline, and site conditions. For architects and designers, we provide technical specifications, sample boards, and material data sheets and assist with any design questions. For contractors and homeowners, we assess substrate conditions and discuss application options and design details.

What to expect: Site visit, project scope definition, material selection, timeline estimates, transparent pricing

2. Planning & Coordination

Detailed project planning ensures seamless execution. We coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and design teams to align schedules and protect adjacent work. For renovation projects, we determine whether existing surfaces require prep work or can be coated directly.

What to expect: Detailed work plan, application and finish method finalization, trade coordination schedule, material procurement timeline, site protection requirements

3. Surface Preparation

Proper substrate preparation is critical for long-term performance. We assess and prepare surfaces according to SEMCO specifications—ensuring optimal adhesion whether applying over tile, concrete, drywall, or wood. When extensive remodeling work or trades work is required we coordinate with the proper contractors to achieve the desired results.

What to expect: Moisture testing, repairs if needed, any demolition and layout changes if necessary, any trades work, surface cleaning

4. Application & Quality Control

SEMCO-certified technicians apply X-Bond Microcement in multiple thin layers, following factory-specified techniques. We maintain strict quality control throughout the process and coordinate specialty details like flush-mount vents to preserve the seamless aesthetic.

What to expect: Professional application, on-site quality checks, coordination and install of complementary products (Envisivent flush vents, lighting etc.), regular progress updates

5. Sealing, Protection & Follow-Up

Final sealer application provides long-term protection and the desired finish (matte, satin, or gloss). We protect completed work during construction phases and provide care instructions for maintenance-free performance.

What to expect: Sealer application, cure time guidance, care instructions, post-project support

Exterior & Coastal Exposure

UV-stable, salt-air resistant surfaces for outdoor living spaces. Engineered to withstand coastal temperature swings, humidity, and direct sun exposure without cracking, yellowing, or delaminating.

Applications:
Pool decks, patios, outdoor kitchens, outdoor furniture, walkways, driveways, building facades, covered outdoor living areas, etc.
